Joint Stone-Cutting

A  joint stone-cutting workshop is a CBDN supported rehabilitation project  in Pervogali, Tkvarchel/i district. The workshop is a joint initiative between Abkhaz and Georgians to produce building materials for the Abkhaz market.

Deals have been secured with Abkhaz building companies during the initiation phase of this project with a view of selling the product locally. Apart form building materials, the workshop also produces headstones and other ritual materials.

CBDN  recently purchased materials (marble and granite) from the Ukraine and produces products for Gal/i, Ochamchira and Tkvarchel/i. The expansion of production continues and the restoration of wood-working shop, which is next to the workshop, is under consideration.
