Research and Analysis

Research and analysis was/is and will remain one of the substantial parts of CBDN work.  CBDN does not only deal with konkretika - concrete initiatives promoting cooperation - but also conducts researches to discover issues, interpret, and develop methods to address them.

CBDN is itself a transformation of the Economy and Conflict Research Group (ECRG) that carried out a groundbreaking research on the nexus between economy and conflicts in the South Caucasus and produced a book ‘From War Economies to Peace Economies, ' which became a cornerstone in understanding region's economic dynamics that might contribute to the successful process of long-term peacebuilding in the region.

Today, CBDN continues focusing on research to find more possibilities for economic cooperation in various entities.

Some of the CBDN researches include:

Value Chain Analysis of certain agricultural produce

Status of regional economic cooperation & exploration of  opportunities and obstacles for trade facilitation and cooperation

CBDN think piece on 'The impact of the August war on economies and cooperation in the South Caucasus' - a groundbreaking research that shed a light on changing dynamics of economic cooperation in the region after the August 2008 war and concluded that in spite of conflict, economic interactions do continue taking place, etc.
